Sales Director

We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead and develop our sales and account management teams to maximise growth opportunities for new and existing clients and achieve company targets.

Reporting to the managing director, you will manage a global sales and account management team of 19 full-time and part-time staff including supervisors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and implement appropriate sales strategies to meet demand
  • Identify, implement and report on new business opportunities
  • Manage key accounts
  • Train and mentor team members to inculcate a sales mindset, commercial skills, assessing performance via annual reviews and one-to-ones
  • Work closely with other teams to increase listings' visibility, in particular PR, content and translation teams

The candidate

You'll need to be:

  • Pragmatic and commercially astute, with strong judgement and decision-making skills
  • Driven, proactive and innovative with a bias towards action
  • Comfortable with and able to manage significant change
  • Able to influence positively and coach colleagues
  • Able to foster strong teamwork, pulling together to achieve targets
  • Conscientious and responsible, and able to run the team/business effectively
  • Ideally, fluent in French, Italian or Spanish

As a minimum you'll need:

  • Experience in sales and / or new business development (three years at a senior level)
  • Demonstrable management of a well-defined sales and new business strategy
  • An understanding of ecommerce, tourism and leisure
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and customer insights to unearth new opportunities
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience with CRM applications, ideally Salesforce
